Exhibition provides 2000 vacant jobs.

Manama, Apr. 25 (BNA): Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan today inaugurated the 11th edition of the General Recruitment Exhibition organized by the ministry. The two-day exhibition taking place on April 25-26 targets qualified jobseekers from various academic disciplines. More than 70 commercial establishments are offering more than 1,200 vacancies in addition to 800 vacancies available for jobseekers from the ministry's "Available Vacancies Databank," according to the minister. "The ministry continues to organize variety career shows on a wider scale to expedite the recruitment of jobseekers and meet the growing demand from fresh graduates entering the labour market," said the minister in his inaugural speech "Joblessness is a challenge that requires mustering of efforts by all official and private entities to provide jobs for the growing number of jobseekers and to maintain the ratio of joblessness within normal safe limits," he added. The exhibition's most noticeable feature was the availability of 2,000 vacant jobs in the various sectors and disciplines, added the minister. I.Y BNA 1014 GMT 2017/04/25
