Executive Council President of Canton of Geneva Receives Sultanate's Permanent Representative to UN.

Geneva, Apr 15 (ONA) --- Charles Beer, President of the Executive Council of the Canton of Geneva hailed the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said since the dawn of the Blessed Renaissance, which has been known as positive with the others at all levels in a manner that contributed in cementing the humanitarian principles and civilizational values. This came when he received Abdullah bin Nasser al-Rahbi, Sultanate's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) and the Consul General to the Swiss Confederation. The meeting discussed means of enhancing the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries in all areas, particularly the economic and tourism fields. Meanwhile, Abdullah bin Nassir al-Rahbi, Sultanate's Permanent Representative to the UN met with Gabriel P. Head of the Supreme Council of the Canton of Geneva. During the meeting, he hailed the Sultanate's position in the region and its positive role in cementing the security and stability, pointing out to the common characteristics between the Omani and Swiss peoples, namely tolerance and equality among all members of the society. On his turn, al-Rahbi affirmed that he will exert his sincere efforts to promote the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries in all spheres, expressing his thanks for the care being received by the Sultanate's Mission in Geneva. He affirmed that the tolerance, coexistence and peace are considered to be as fundamentals of the Omani ancient culture. --- Ends/AH/KH
