November will be an action-packed month, with a flurry of activities and events to take place in UAE during the next 30 days.

The major events would include the launch of Dubai Frame, UAE flag day celebration, Sharjah book festival, Dubai Fitness Challenge events (ongoing), Global Village opening and military demonstration in Sharjah. Global Village opening - November 1 Another season of good vibes begins at Global Village as it opens its doors for its 22nd season on November 1. The entire world will once again merge in one place as more than 75 cultures represented through 27 country pavilions and showcasing more than 12,000 cultural and entertainment shows will be housed inside the 1.6million square metre park located on Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road Exit 37. There are also more than 3,500 outlets, including hundreds of boutique shops, 23 restaurants and cafes, and 120 food and beverage kiosks featuring cuisines from the Far East to the Middle East; Asia to Europe, Africa and the Americas. Due to the growing demand for bus service, RTA's Public Transport Agency is set to launch two new bus routes (Routes 102, 106) on November 1.

Public Transport Day - November 1 Riding Dubai's public transport is about to get a whole lot more rewarding, thanks to the Dubai Fitness Challenge and the upcoming Public Transport Day.

To mark the Public Transport Day, which falls on November 1, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has invited all community segments to use various mass transit modes including the Metro, tram, public buses and marine transport.

Sharjah International Book Festival - November 1-11

More than 1.5 million titles from 1,650 publishing houses of 60 countries will be on display at the 36th edition of Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF ) which runs from November 1-11 at Expo Centre Sharjah.

The 11-day event, which will be held under the theme 'A World Inside My Book', will feature more than 2,600 events attended by 393 guests from 48 countries. Due to the high demand, the space has increased by 4,000 square metres this year, which will be added to the 25,000 square meters initially designated for publishers.

Flag Day - November 2

UAE Flag Day will take place on Thursday (November 2) instead of Friday, (November 3) this year.

Flag Day is a national campaign, which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler, in November 2013 to commemorate the accession of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan as President of the nation. It is a day of celebration, reflecting a symbol of unity, patriotism and loyalty to the UAE and its wise leadership, and adherence to the values of the union established by the UAE's Founding Fathers.

Military demonstration in Sharjah - November 3

If you are living near Al Khan Corniche in Sharjah, be prepared to see and hear military helicopters, fighter aircraft, armoured vehicles and armed boats. The drill is a preparation for a military demonstratio n slated to be held on November 3, to mark the UAE Flag Day.

Dubai Zoo closing ceremony - November 5

The Jumeirah Zoo, which has been serving the public in Dubai for 50 years, will now be closed in preparation for the opening of the Dubai Safari project, the first-of-its-kind Safari Park in the Middle East.

A closing ceremony will be held on the final day, November 5, to honour all employees who worked in the zoo. The public will also be allowed to attend the closing ceremony and enter the zoo free of charge on that day.

Dubai Miracle Garden - November 7

The temperature is down which means the flowers are in full bloom once again at the Dubai Miracle Garden.

Miracle Garden, one-of-a-kind in the region and in the world for such a unique display and extravagant outdoor recreational destination, will re-open for its sixth season on Tuesday November 7, it has been announced. Since it first opened in 2012, the garden is reconstructed every season with a new theme.

Louvre Abu Dhabi - November 11

The Louvre Abu Dhabi is set to open for the public on November 11, on the shores of Saadiyat Island. Featuring a vast silver dome filled with art, the museum will be the first of its kind in the Arab world. The landmark museum - with its iconic heritage - took ten years to come to life and will enlighten minds through exhibits of art, culture, history and knowledge.

At total of 23 permanent galleries will showcase more than 600 pieces of art, including 300 loaned by 13 French museums for the inaugural year.

Dubai Fitness Challenge - October 20 to November 18

Fitness has always been a prime objective for the city of Dubai. With the rise of parks, adventure offerings and other activities, the drive for physical well-being is apparent. However, what recently marked a milestone in the city is the launch of the Dubai Fitness Challenge .

The month-long project is aimed at all residents of the UAE to take part in a series of fun sports and games for at least 30 minutes a day in hopes to instill a sense of good health. DFC has been created to motivate the people of Dubai to boost their physical activity and commit to 30 minutes of daily activity for 30 days. Running from October 20 to November 18, the challenge encompasses all forms of activity - from beach cricket, cycling and football, to paddle boarding, team sports, walking and yoga, as well as everything in between. Grand Prix Abu Dhabi - November 24 and 25

Abu Dhabi hosts the final round of the real Formula One championship on November 26. The first Formula One Esports World Champion will be crowned at Yas Marina on November 24 and 25. In a bid to offer fans even greater flexibility and value, this year will see the 'GP Parks Pass' return and the introduction of the new 'Kids Go Free' package. This year you can catch four big names performing at the Yasalam after race concerts.

Festival for determined youth - November 24 and 25

For the first time ever, determined children in the UAE will get a spectacular stage to showcase their talents.

Open for all schools following the Indian school curricula Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), the festival is open to registration for mainstream students as well as differently abled students.

Dubai Frame

One of the Dubai's mega projects, Dubai Frame will be ready by end of November. The public will be able to access Dubai Frame, the 150-metre- high and 93-metre-wide structure, in the next couple of months to experience a 360-degree view of Dubai as they walk through the bridge on high altitude glass bridge.

The Dh160-million project that stands tall in Zaabeel park outline views towards the Emirates Towers and Burj Khalifa on one side and the Deira, Umm Harare and Karama from the other.
