The possibility of Kali#328aacutek leaving parliament had been allegedly discussed in Smer since September.Former interior minister Robert Kali#328aacutek will leave the parliament.
"I want to deliver on the decision to give up my mandate to the speaker of parliament by the end of this year," he said in an interview with the Pravda daily.Kali#328aacutek plans to renew his licence to practice law.
He has not said yet whether he plans to leave politics altogether. For now, he remains in the Smer party.
The possibility of Kali#328aacutek leaving parliament had been discussed in Smer since September, as the Denniacutek N daily reported. Though several representatives of the party have demanded that he do so, Kali#328aacutek had refused to confirm it until now.
Kali#328aacutek has not said whether he plans to run in the 2020 general election."I will say how I plan to cross this river when I'm standing in front of it," he told Pravda.
"We aren't standing in front of this river now, it's relatively far away, so I can't comment at the moment."Kali#328aacutek served as the interior minister three times.
