Ex-Minister Khoury elected Mutual Aid president.
BEIRUT: Former Minister Michel Khoury has been elected president of the association of Mutual Aid between members of the Legion d'Honneur- section Lebanon. Khoury succeeded former Minister Michel Edde, who was unanimously elected honorary president of the association, which groups Lebanese who have been awarded the Legion d'Honneur of different grades and foreigners awarded the same medal and living in Lebanon. The body's general committee elected a new administrative committee, which met later and elected Khoury as president, Tammam Salam as first vice president, Shafiq Muharram second vice president, former Ambassador Marcel Laugel third vice president and Rafik Shalala as secretary general. -- The Daily Star
