Ex-Gers star wins pounds 52k in house fight.

FOOTBALLER Peter Lovenkrands has won a pounds 52,000 payout from the builders of his pounds 1.3million home.

The former Rangers ace sued Springfield Homes over a string of problems, including unfinished landscaping and leaking windows which wrecked expensive carpets.

And last week, a sheriff in Hamilton found in favour of Lovenkrands, who now plays in Germany, and his model wife Teresa.

Springfield did not defend the action over the house in exclusive Thorntonhall, Lanarkshire.

A friend of the couple said they were surprised Springfield, based in Shotts, had not defended the action.

The friend added: "They are waiting on the paperwork before they can try to get the money."
