Ex-Bees rider on sexual assault charges.

A FORMER Coventry Bees rider is due to appear in a Bournemouth court today charged with sexual assault.

Nick Morris, 17, who made 24 appearances for Coventry last season, is accused of sexually assaulting a 17-yearold girl in a hotel room in Poole, Dorset on August 18 this year.

Morris was on a night out in Poole with fellow Australian and Poole rider Darcy Ward, aged 19, when the alleged assault took place at the Premier Inn hotel in Poole.

The teenage girl made a complaint to Dorset Police and both championship riders were arrested.

Morris was later charged with three counts of sexual assault. Ward was charged with one count of sexual assault.

They were both released on bail and are due to appear before Bournemouth Magistrates Court today.

Morris, who moved to Coventry from Glasgow, ended his contract with the Bees earlier this year.

He is now a rider with Swansea.
