Ex- IAF pilot sexually assaulted in IT City.
UNLEASHING a gruesome atrocity on a brother- sister duo, violent mob allegedly assaulted the woman -- both sexually and physically -- and thrashed the man. Later, they took the duo to a police station.
The incident took place on February 9 evening when the woman, an ex- IAF pilot and her two daughters, accompanied by her brother, and his wife, were driving in Kempe Gowda International Airport ( KIAL) area of Bengaluru.
According to the victims, they were overtaking a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus on the expressway. The bus driver suddenly swerved towards the right almost ramming into the car. The ex- pilot's brother, who was behind the wheels, slammed the brakes to stop the car from getting sandwiched between the bus and the expressway median. Later, the bus driver, too, parked the vehicle on the expressway.
Subsequently, the ex- pilot's brother got out of the car and went up to the bus driver and objected to his driving style.
But shockingly, the bus driver hit him.
An argument later ensued between them inside the bus.
Harrowed by the scene unfolding in front of her, the ex- IAF pilot jumped out of the car and rushed to save her brother from being assaulted, but instead, the bus driver and conductor allegedly began hitting her on her hands and head. A few passengers also allegedly groped and molested her in the melee.
It is alleged that the siblings were racially abused and subjected to harassment till they reached the hospital, as they did not know the local language Kannada. The bus driver and conductor filed an FIR against the siblings accusing them of being the assaulters . The confused siblings too filed a counter- complaint.
They were so shocked with the turn of events that they did not what to do for some time.
A detailed inquiry has been ordered into the incident.
