Ewan drops a stone on dance diet.
Byline: By JAMIE LIVINGSTONEEWAN McGregor has lost almost a stone in weight after gruelling rehearsals for his stage role in Guys And Dolls.
The Hollywood actor, who plays gangster Sky Masterson in the classic 1950s musical, is now too skinny for his costume.
He said: 'I can eat like a horse but they have to keep taking the suits in. It's great.'It's maybe the one element of the musical I had considered the least. I had worried about the singing but suddenly I went to the first choreography session and thought, 's***, it's quite full on'.
It isn't the first time McGregor - who stars as Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars III: Revenge Of The Sith, which is out on Thursday - has slimmed down for a role.
He starved himself to lose two stone to play junkie Renton in Trainspotting.
McGregor, 34, hasn't acted in a theatre since 1999. This is also the first time he has sung on stage.
And the Crieff-born star - who appears alongside Ally McBeal actress Jane Krakowski, Douglas Hodge and Jenna Russell - worked hard to perfect his stage routines.
Co-star Douglas said: 'We do work-outs in the morning, physical work-outs every day - it's a heightened energy show.'
Guys And Dolls opens at London's Piccadilly Theatre on June 1.
