Ewan McGregor has told how his famous face got him a let-off when he was caught going "stupid fast" on his motorbike.

The Scots star, now playing killer parole officer Ray Stussy in Channel 4's Fargo, recalled: "I was going so fast round Regent's Park in London because the road's just a ring - it feels like a race track.

"A policeman stopped me, went behind me, put on the siren, and I was thinking 'S***' because I was really going over the speed limit.

"He said, 'Now Mr McGregor, I don't think you're going to get away with riding that fast round Regent's Park in front of a policeman.' "But he let me away with it, yeah."
