Everything's greener at Mansell's.

Staff at Mansell's Stourbridge-based Western Region are celebrating after getting a top accolade which recognises the company's green credentials.

Mansell has been given a four star Environmental Award from the British Standards Institute following an assessment by BSI inspectors.

The award recognises Mansell's environmental procedures, on-site environmental awareness, waste management, recycling and use of materials.

The assessors judged Mansell to be strong on its use of timber from managed sources and its construction of environmentally efficient homes with minimal heat loss. Regional managing director Steve Davies said the firm was delighted with the award and took environmental issues very seriously.

"We see it as a major responsibility. Environmental issues and working in a sustainable way are now ingrained into the Mansell culture," he said.
