Everything's fine, says Amelia after 'faint' rumours.

RUMOURS that X Factor's Amelia Lily fainted on stage last night are "untrue", says her Teesside family.

Social network sites were buzzing with claims that the teenager - who suffers from diabetes - fainted while performing in the X Factor tour at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield.

News spread quickly on Twitter with "Stay Strong Amelia Lily" trending.

But the 17-year-old took to the site herself following the live tour show to set the record straight.

She tweeted: "Hey guys thanks for all the messages. Didn't faint on stage!!!! Was unable to do encore but everything is fine thank you again for support."

Dad Barry Oliver and mum Aranka Bradley, of Nunthorpe, Middlesbrough, also spoke to the Gazette today to quash rumours.

Barry said: "I don't know where the tweets came from because that's not the case. There's nothing true in the story."

He said Amelia is "fine", and although she has had a bit of flu recently, she did not faint.

He added: "I certainly would not be standing in the North-east now if that was the case. Where it's come from I don't know."
