Everton's Community champions fly flag for GB.

IT'S NO surprise that two of Everton's excellent disabled footballers will fly the flag for Team GB in the Paralympics next week.

When the games get under way on Wednesday, Roy Turnham, 27, who is visually-impaired and George Fletcher, 17, who has cerebral palsy, will both be going for footballing gold.

George will face Brazil in the men's opening game on Saturday, September 1and said: "I've received a lot of support from Everton in the Community, including one-on-one coaching from Andrew Brady which made me a better player. When it came down to selection for Team GB, both Andrew and I felt we had to knuckle down even more."

Roy, who starts his journey on Friday, August 31 against Spain, added: "What I'd say to anyone who wants to get involved in sport is that an organisation like Everton in the Community will be of great help."
