Evergreen Investments, the investment management brand of Wachovia Corporation (NYSE: WB), has announced a range of appointments in its municipal bond group.

Mathew Kiselak, portfolio manager, has been promoted to head Evergreen's municipal bond group. In his new role, Kiselak, who has been with Evergreen or its predecessors for the last eight years, will become lead portfolio manager for all internally managed municipal money market and municipal bond mutual funds. He will also be responsible for strategic supervision of research, security selection and trading for the funds.

Municipal bond team members Dennis Derby, Ladson Hart, Charles Jeanne and James Randazzo have all been promoted as co-managers on products across the platform. The firm's proprietary credit research teams will continue to support the municipal bond team.
