Ever try hoofing it to Sweden?

With new lightweight upper materials, low drop heights, and cushioned midsoles, Icebug's trail collection features a range of shoes built to handle wherever your adventure takes you.

Our choice, the Men's Icebug Oribi ($159.99), gets its name from an African antelope, known for its speed, grace, and agility. This brand new model for 2017 is both feather-light and feature-packed. The seamless polyester mesh upper is light, nonabsorbing, and has a welded protective TPU mudguard. The lacing system, with integrated laminated ribbons, embraces the foot and keeps it in place, along with special laces that prevent untying.

The thin tongue has a sock-like construction, which keeps it in place and makes the Oribi fit like a glove. The soft heel cup has a padded collar and firm heel grip. The midsole has an integrated Rock Shield to protect the foot in rocky terrain. The midsole also adds torsional stability and is designed to provide a kick in the last phase of the stride. Medium cushioning and a 7mm drop provide just the right level of support. The tractor tire patterned outsole and the RB9X rubber compound will keep trail runners and everyday users going in all kinds of conditions and terrain, which you can put to the test at the third annual Icebug Xperience race on the southeastern coast of Sweden.

This is an event where runners and walkers explore 75 kilometers of changing coastal landscape over the course of a few days (Aug. 31 Sept. 3). Participants walk and/or run over varying terrain, featuring windswept granite coastline, tranquil forests, and open fields--with the occasional sheep and picturesque small towns and farms. Every day begins and ends with local Swedish food, and then you bed down in quaint cabins by the sea.
