* THERE are many events taking place across Cadw sites in South Wales over the Easter weekend.

On Easter Sunday from 11am to 4pm there is A Knight's Tale at Castell Coch. Cadw's own knight wields his mighty sword and shows visitors how to fight safely in his Medieval Sword School. Normal admission prices, call 029 2081 0101 for more information.

On Easter Sunday and Monday, from 11am to 4pm, The Mighty Siege Engines come to Caerphilly. See and experience the power of Caerphilly's medieval siege machines as members of the Company of Chivalry demonstrate their operation. Children can try firing a mini trebuchet.

On Easter Monday, from 11am to 4pm, find out about the birds in your garden at Castell Coch. Learn how to attract them and build your own nest box.

Also enjoy a guided bird and botany walk at 11.30am or 2pm.

* THE next social meeting of retired Unison members is on Wednesday, April 11, at County Hall in Cardiff Bay, from 10am to noon.

* THE concert With a Song In My Heart takes place on Sunday, May 13, at 7pm at St David's Hall, Cardiff.

The event will be raising funds for British Heart Foundation Cymru's Mending Broken Hearts Appeal.

Join an array of principal performers from the West End with a professional orchestra and Cardiff's well known Choir City Voices in songs from the shows such as Cabaret, Miss Saigon, The King and I, Fiddler on The Roof, Carousel, My Fair Lady, Wicked, Chess, Legally Blonde, Jekyll and Hyde and, of course, Les Miserables.
