Managing risk: Is competence in safety and reliability a mirage?
Synopsis: Industry faces a significant challenge of an ageing workforce, particularly in retaining competence in fundamental aspects of safety and reliability. These areas present a challenge for the successful development of any project and getting safety engineers to work efficiently within projects rather than in isolation is a major aspect. Re-learning lessons of history in these areas can be both catastrophic and costly.
Understand the issues and opportunities in establishing competence in a competent organisation, ensuring that safety critical activities at all stages are recognised and supported by suitably trained, knowledgeable and informed engineers. Attend this seminar and learn the generic competence requirements and frameworks for building competence in safety and reliability. Further information: Visit www.imeche.org/events/S1708
