Event raises PS8000; Golf.

Logan Leisure Charity Golf Day raised more than PS8000 for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation to aid the research into Motor Neurone Disease at the annual event played at Stirling.

A total of 48 teams from all over central Scotland took part in a Texas Scramble with 191 golfers had the opportunity to enjoy a great day out on Stirling's picturesque course.

It was a close contest for the Caledonian Marts Perpetual Trophy with only three shots separating the top 12 teams.The winning team was Richard Cullen, Peter Spalding, Alan Docharty and Colin Malcolm, who triumphed with a net score of 55.6 (gross 60 - 4.4 handicap).

A grand total of PS8245 was raised and organiser Ally Logan would like to thank everyone who contributed to another fantastic day by taking part in the golf competition and generously donating prizes to the raffle and the auction. Over 21 years of Logan Leisure Golf Days, the grand total of PS151,954 has been raised for local and national charities.
