Operations evaluation study

This book is a compilation of two OED (Operations Evaluation Department of the World Bank) evaluations on gender and economics in the World Bank: "Integrating Gender in World Bank Assistance" and "The Gender Dimension of Bank Assistance: An Evaluation of Results" from 2000 and 2001. The World Bank's gender policy is first explained, then the role of gender is evaluated in economic policy, relevance as to poverty, specific countries, bank relationships, and use of the policy in projects, strategies, institutions, and operations. As a summary, the results of the policy regarding health, education, and economic development are then discussed.
