Eva Choung-Fux

De Gruyter

496 pages

Presented in side-by-side German and English, this color art book presents the work of Austrian artist Eva Choung-Fux, encompassing many periods and styles of her work in printmaking, painting, drawing, photography, and text assemblage, from the 1950s to the 21st century. The book contains new essays analyzing her work, as well as articles published in the past but no longer in print or available. The essays look at links between her art and her life and discuss her mastery of the relief printing techniques and her influences from Asian culture. The book also surveys her career teaching at the Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna; she was the first lecturer in Vienna to explore photography as a visual arts medium.
