Finnish telecomms solutions provider Nokia said on Wednesday (22 December) that the Czech mobile operator Eurotel Praha spol. s r. o. had launched the country's first Push to talk over Cellular (PoC) technology, using a solution provided by Nokia.

Eurotel would follow the initial launch of technology with a full commercial launch in early 2005, Nokia said.

In addition to a complete PoC solution, Nokia would provide implementation and care services for the deployment of the solution. Nokia would also supply its Nokia 5140 mobile phones, which support PoC.
