Eurosense-five successful years on the Bulgarian market of GIS.
EUROSENSE EOOD was established on December 16, 2003 by the Belgian corporate group EUROSENSE, which for more than 45 years has been developing successful business in the field of remote sensing of the Earth, cartography, photogrammetry, geographic information systems (GIS), aerial laser scanning and bathymetry in different European countries--Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria.
Over the past five years EUROSENSE EOOD built a serious technical capacity for carrying out photo flights and photogrametry production.
In June 2005, the Company purchased a Cessna 404 Titan aircraft, which was registered in the Bulgarian register of civil aircraft under a unique number LZ ESA.
The same month, EUROSENSE EOOD received an air operator certificate under the Civil Aviation Act of the Republic of Bulgaria and thus became an active air operator with the main object of operation being patrolling and surveillance, photo flights and geophysical research.
At the same time, the aircraft was equipped with analog photogrammetric camera Leica RC 30 camera with a full set of lenses, gyro-stabilized platform and a navigation system CCNS. Since 2007, EUROSENSE EOOD has been operating its own wide format digital camera ULTRACAM-X from VEXCEL and Laser system for aerial scanning LiteMapper 5600 (IGI).
On an area of 400 sq m, EUROSENSE EOOD has developed and implemented a completed and closed technological cycle of processing of analog and digital aerophoto images. The company has its own fully-equipped photo laboratory for developing colour and black & white films, two photogrammetric scanners (DELTA SCAN) and 12 workplaces (for stereoscopic observation) for processing of aerophoto and satellite images.
In accordance with the Law on Protection of Classified Information, EUROSENSE EOOD has created a Registry-room for classified information. On October 18 2005, the Registry-room was certified by the State Commission on Information Security at a level "SECRET." In 2009, specialised facilities have been built and specialised equipment for processing and protecting of digital classified information pursuant to TEMPEST standard has been procured and installed.
EUROSENSE EOOD has an innovative business, which involves the use of high technologies and solutions for acquisition of data from aerophoto and satellite images. The main products and services to customers are aerial photography; photo interpretation; processing and interpretation of digital satellite images; development of photogrammetric and topographic maps; digital orthophoto images; aerial laser scanning; hydrography; termography measurements; development of databases in the sphere of GIS and consulting services.
During the period 2005-2006, EUROSENSE EOOD executed in an extremely short time aerophoto flights of the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria (total area of 110 732 sq km) and developed the first digital color orthophoto map of the territory of the country for the Ministry of Agriculture and Food under a project to develop a Land Parcel Identification System (LPIS). That was a necessary and key step for the accession of Bulgaria to the EU without a safeguard clause on accession chapter Agriculture.
In 2007, EUROSENSE EOOD made the first aerophoto flights in Bulgaria with a digital camera under the Partnership Programme of Microsoft Corporation Virtual EarthTM. As part of this campaign, the cities of Sofia and Plovdiv were photographed.
The products and services EUROSENSE EOOD are entirely based on high technology for acquisition of data of the terrain and the accompanying infrastructure, including processing, integration and appropriate visualisations.
