European Patent Office.

An English-language database, called First Page, is being developed by the European Patent Office, whose offices in The Hague are working on the project in cooperation with the U.S. Patent and Trade Mark Office and the Japanese Patent Office. The database will cover the complete spectrum of science and technology. More than 20 million words will be translated for EPO by RWS Translations Ltd. from its office in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. The database will provide an important aid in assessing the international patentability of inventions.
