AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

The European Commission has ended its probe into Irish carrier Ryanair concerning the airline's attempts to stop passengers using screen-scraping websites to make bookings.

The organisation was investigating whether Ryanair was breaking passenger rights in the way it was dealing with the issue.

Ryanair reportedly supplied the European Commission with evidence that such websites were accessing the airline's website illegally.

According to Reuters, a spokesperson from the European Commission stated that the probe is now complete.
