Eureka moves into the Bay Area

Wolfgang Puck, Los Angeles Brewing Co. president, has announced that the company's first beer, Eureka California Lager, will be introduced to restaurants and retail stores throughout the Bay Area beginning this month.

Puck explained that each bottle has a very readable "pull-date" in corner to ensure freshness. The date informs the consumer of the date by which California Lager should be purchased.

"While beer purchased after the pull-date is not spoiled," brewery spokesperson Krestin Beaton noted, "we believe our customers will be pleased by the care we take and expense we are willing to underwrite to assure freshness. We hope to increase the consumer's awareness of the relationship between freshness and flavor, and stimulate the purchase of Eureka California Lager within the open dating period."
