A Eugene man is accused of assaulting his parents, including using a stun gun on his 69-year-old father, at his parents' house near Skyline Park.
According to Eugene police, Evan James Joseph Morrow, 23, allegedly attacked his parents at 6:25 p.m. Friday in the 4400 block of Shadow Wood Drive. At least one person was taken to PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield with injuries, medic dispatch logs show.
Morrow allegedly used a stun gun on his father and then hit his father with the stun gun, police said. He then turned on his 67-year-old mother, police said. When his father tried to pull Morrow away from his mother, the two men began fighting on the ground, police said, and Morrow reportedly bit his father.
Morrow had left the residence in his vehicle by the time police arrived, but officers located him a short time later and arrested him.
Morrow's charges include two counts of second- degree assault, fourth-degree assault, second- degree unlawful use of a stun gun, and unlawful use of a weapon.
He was booked into the Lane County Jail.
