Ethnic networks.

ETHNIC NETWORKS ARE SPROUTING up all over Silicon Valley, becoming an important part of the local entrepreneurial scene, since approximately 23% of those who work in the area are immigrants, according to Joint Venture: Silicon Valley Network, an economic-development group. For many, joining these culture clubs is just one way to bypass the formal power structure. Here are the Valley's major ethnic networks:
