Swedish telecomms solutions provider Ericsson said on Thursday (12 June) that it had signed a GSM expansion contract with Chinese mobile operator Hebei Mobile Communications Corporation (Hebei Mobile) which includes network equipment provision and professional services.

Ericsson's Chinese joint venture Nanjing Ericsson Panda Communications Company Ltd will provide the hardware and software for the expansion, and Ericsson (China) Technology Services Co Ltd will provide the professional services, according to the company.

The contract is valued at USD30m.

One euro (EUR) is worth approximately 0.72 British pounds (GBP).
