Most of the 12 papers in this collection are the result of discussions of open problems during the workshops, which make a point of mixing young and established researchers. The topics include a survey of the return times theorem, characterizations of distal and equicontinuous extensions, stepped hyperplane and extension of the three distance theorem, mixing automorphisms that are Markov quasi-equivalent but not weakly isomorphic, the fractal geometry of non-uniformly hyperbolic horseshoes, and uniform rigidity sequences for topologically weakly mixing homeomorphisms.
