Worldwide Computer Products News-20 April 2007-Equisys introduces Zetafax 2007(C)1995-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Equisys, a provider of software packages for document production and delivery, released on Thursday (19 April) the new version of its fax software - Zetafax 2007.

According to the company, Zetafax supports all the business editions of Microsoft's Windows Vista - Business, Enterprise and Ultimate. It uses Microsoft Office's new ribbon user interface and Microsoft .NET to leverage new capabilities within the 2007 Microsoft Office system, enabling Outlook 2007 users to send documents via the Zetafax Server in the same way as sending an e-mail. In addition, Zetafax 2007 supports Outlook address books.

The Zetafax Server also links into the new server role based architecture of Exchange Server 2007, removing the need to install any additional software on the Exchange server, and integration with Active Directory means that users' fax accounts can be set up easily by importing users' existing network credentials.

Equisys also announced Zetafax Duo, which adds the features of Zetadocs PDF to Zetafax 2007, providing a visual 'document builder' to combine and convert documents to PDFs and then send them securely by e-mail, as well as fax.

No pricing details were disclosed.
