Equatorial Guinea : The Campo Yaunde Health Centre is Opened.

According to the order established by protocol, the first to announce their speech at the opening was the representative of the new health centre who showed his gratitude for the government's administration, and the construction work carried out by MEGI. A representative of the mayoress of Malabo was the following speaker.

On her behalf, and during her intervention, the Minister of Health highlighted the importance of sanitary professionals in society, as they are the only workers who live near the birth and death of human beings. Nguema Owono also appealed to employees at the new health centre to respect the regulations and make good use of the installations.

During his speech, the Minister of Mines and Hydrocarbons, Gabriel Mbega Obiang Lima, first congratulated the construction company CFC for their excellent work, and the company MEGI for having achieved their commitment of supporting the nation's social sector.

The contribution by the ministers of mines and health in this project was also shown. He also recalled the agreements established between the petroleum companies and the government which are run by the Head of State, S.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, with the aim of implementing community projects in the entire national territory.

During his speech, the president of Mobil Equatorial Guinea Inc., David Findley, confirmed that the main objective of the oil tanker on Equatorial Guinean land is the safe and efficent production of hydrocarbons, and its main contribution to the state is the generation of revenue to support its social and sanitary policies.

"Months ago in March 2014, I appeared here before you for the occasion of placing the first stone for the construction and equipment of this leading health centre, which is financed and built by my company. An ambitious project aimed at satisfying the health needs of this populous area in the city of Malabo. Everything I have mentioned wouldn't have been possible without the great support of our partner company at Block B, GEPETROL, the Ministry of Mines and Hydrocarbons, as well as thier National Content Department and the Ministry of Health and Well-being" assured Findley.

The 460 m2 building distributed over two floors offers a sick ward; three examination wards; a maternity area; a pharmacy and a laboratory, among other departments.
