EquaTerra Taps HR Veteran Mark Trepanier to Lead HR Practice as Market Trends Toward Increased Use of Internal Transformation, Shared Services, SaaS for HR Services Delivery.

HOUSTON -- EquaTerra, a global business advisory firm that specializes in optimizing IT and business processes, today announced it has appointed managing director Mark Trepanier as its North American HR Practice lead. Trepanier will leverage his 30 years of business transformation expertise to advise organizations on how best to deliver their HR services - whether via internal transformation, process reengineering, shared services, SaaS, cloud computing, out-tasking or outsourcing - in today's risk-averse and capital conservation-focused marketplace.

Said Trepanier, "The global economic meltdown has required organizations to step-up their quest for service delivery solutions which reduce and keep down their operating expenses. In addition, HR as a function needs to focus on a value added contribution, adding to both the top and bottom line. They are increasingly looking at internal transformation efforts, shared services and pay-for-use cloud services such as SaaS and business processes as a service (BPaaS) to deliver superior HR services. While process outsourcing and out-tasking certainly remain viable options, alternative delivery models are gaining in interest and importance."

EquaTerra's HR Practice specializes in helping organizations decide upon and implement their HR services and human capital management programs delivery strategy with client-specific focuses on:

* Determining the most appropriate delivery model

* Designing the organization structure

* Developing the technology strategy

* Executing deployment of the delivery model and technology strategy

Said Bob Cecil, Executive Director, Business Process Advisory Practices, "Given the in-play and going forward market dynamics and requirements, our HR clients will be well-served with Mark's ability to lead his team to advise on full-scale HR transformation through process, organization and technology strategy, design and implementation, as well as individual initiatives such as outsourcing, SaaS and contract renewals."

Trepanier, who joined EquaTerra in 2004, was previously Accenture HR Services' executive director of global operations, and vice president of North American operations for Exult. He won the 2008 HROA Buyer/Advisor relationship of the year award with client E.W. Scripps.
