Epifano named BCA/NJ Prez.

Robert Epifano, a resident of Piscataway, has been elected president of the Building Contractors Association of New Jersey (BCA\NJ). The announcement was made by BCA|NJ Managing Director Jack James on Dec. 9, 1992, at the Association's Annual Meeting.

Epifano is president and chief executive officer of Epic Incorporated of Piscataway, the contracting firm he rounded in 1971.

He has been active in the BCA\NJ since 1980, having held the positions of vice president, secretary and treasurer prior to assuming the office of President.

Epifano serves as president of the Construction Congress of New Jersey and the Middlesex County Building Contractors Association. He is a member of the Executive Finance Committee of the New Jersey Carpenters Funds and is a Trustee of the Building Laborers of New Jersey Training and Education Trust Fund. Epifano also serves as Director of both the New Jersey Alliance for Action and the Somerset Alliance for the Future. He has been named a Fellow by the American Concrete Institute, testimony to his dedication and leadership in the advancement of concrete in construction.

The Building Contractors Association of New Jersey, rounded in 1937, is the single largest organization of commercial and industrial building contractors in the state. The BCA\NJ's member companies are responsible for over $1 billion in construction projects annually and employ tens of thousands of skilled construction tradesman statewide. The BCA\NJ is a chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America.
