Enzymatic glycated Albumin Assay Kit.

GlycoGap[R] Diazyme's Glycated Albumin Assay Kit is a two-part liquid stable reagent that can be used with most automated clinical chemistry analyzers. The manufacturers assert that it is more specific and accurate than the conventional non-enzymatic NBT-based fructosamine test. Serum GSP concentrations in conjunction with HbAlc can be used to determine the "glycation gap," which offers improved diagnostic value by more reliably predicting complications of diabetes including coronary artery and kidney disease. In addition, the glycated albumin test serves as an intermediate term indicator of average blood glucose for the past 2 to 3 weeks, which closes the existing information gap between daily blood glucose testing and the 2-to 3-month snapshot provided by HbAlc testing.
