online loan closing documents

Ellie Mae, Inc., a provider of Internet solutions for the mortgage brokerage community, today announced a strategic partnership with Entyre Doc Prep, Inc. (EDP), a national leader in electronically prepared and delivered loan closing documents.

The partnership will provide Genesis 2000(R) and Contour users with a direct Internet connection to one-click document preparation (doc prep) services. Genesis 2000 users may currently access EDP through their ePASS (electronic Processing And Submission System) Business Center, a B2B e-commerce platform that unites brokers with service providers and participating wholesale lenders through the Internet from within the Loan Origination Software. This Internet connectivity to EDP via the ePASS Business Center will soon be available to Contour LOS users.

The new Web interface will allow Genesis and Contour Software users to request doc prep services directly through their LOS. With this interchange employed, all data entered during loan origination will be automatically passed along to the doc prep process, providing users with an easy, accurate and single-point solution for their doc prep needs. The automated field population will eliminate the need to re-key information from one form to another. Necessary forms will be available to be filled out and submitted online, 24/7.

"Historically, EDP has had interfaces with numerous LOS's," said Ken Burkhalter, EDP's President and CEO. "However, with the introduction of ePASS, Ellie Mae has created a whole new interfacing and marketing solution. The merging of ePASS and EDP technologies brings our users strong and flexible tools that are likewise easy to use. Our common customers will find that EDP and their LOS now appear to work as a single integrated application. Working together, we are taking the LOS/Doc Prep integration to a whole new level."

"Our goal is to provide the mortgage lending industry with all of the technological tools necessary to streamline the online origination process and do so cost-effectively," added Fred Myer, senior executive vice president of settlement services for Ellie Mae.
