Enjoy a cuppa to raise charity cash.

FUNDRAISERS are being urged to hold a tea party to raise cash for people living with terminal illnesses.

Marie Curie Cancer Care is asking people from the North East to hold a Blooming Great Tea Party this June to help raise funds for the charity.

People can have a cuppa with friends or hold a tea party for the event.

e money raised will help Marie Curie Nurses to provide more free care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes. Gemma Dyer, community fundraiser said: "Whether you're a dab hand at baking cakes or simply enjoying a cuppa with friends is more your cup of tea, holding a Blooming Great Tea Party is a fun way to get together and raise funds for an important cause. However big or small your tea party, by taking part you will be helping to raise the crucial funds."
