England stars are scared stiff on international stage: Carragher.

London, June 29 (ANI): Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes England stars have now become scared stiff on the international stage.

The Sun quoted the 33-year-old, who came out of retirement for last summer's World Cup, as saying: "One mistake and you could be absolutely slaughtered. At your club, you know you won't be criticised as much and three days later there will be another game.

"I also wouldn't want players holed up in their hotel. Take away the boredom, embrace the country more - you never see anything." (ANI)
