The Norwegian company Engel Holding AS announced on Tuesday (18 April) that it intends to make a voluntary offer of NOK135 per share for all shares of financial software and outsourcing services provider Visma ASA.

The offer values Visma at NOK4.32bn.

Engel Holding was established by European private equity provider HgCapital for the purpose of the offer.

In a separate statement Visma said that the offer, which represents a 28% premium, has the support of its board of directors. Shareholders representing 41.3% of the share capital of Visma have already undertaken to accept the offer.

One Norwegian krone (NOK) is worth approximately 0.08 British pounds (GBP).
