Energy, exotically.

St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch is adding three flavors to its 180 Energy Drink line. The goji berry, a small, red superfood high in antioxidants that comes from the Xinjiang and Ningxia regions in China, is the principal ingredient of new 180 Red with Goji.

"Anheuser-Busch is the first major beverage company to launch an energy drink made with the exotic goji berry," says Andy Goeler, vice president of imports, crafts and specialty. Other ingredients of 180 Red include carbonated water, sucrose, guarana and vitamins B-6, B-12 and C. The 15-calorie beverage is aimed to appeal to those who "live a healthy lifestyle but don't want to sacrifice taste," says Goeler.

180 Red with Goji joins two other new 180 flavors: 180 Blue Low Calorie and 180 Sugar-Free Orange Citrus Blast, both extensions of existing products.
