End this road rage; COMMENT.
How many of us can say we have never shown a lack of respect for other drivers, either by cutting them up or turning the air blue when they cut us up?
Something undoubtedly happens to many, normally sane, people when they get behind the wheel of a car.
Perhaps it has something to do with the stress of modern day living. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that we feel safe in our cars - and free to behave in a way we wouldn't normally behave.
But while the exchange of angry words and one and two-fingered salutes is unpleasant enough, the attack on a 66-year-old man in an argy-bargy over parking space at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary is reprehensible.
The victim was pushed hard enough to knock him off his feet and on to a car.
It's time to clamp down on road rage - starting with the driver of the large 4x4 pick-up truck who carried out this attack at HRI.
Thankfully, CCTV cameras are in constant operation at the car park.
Let us pray that the recorded images are clear enough to capture the man's face and registration plate.
