End Cue Acquires Jon Watts and Chris Ford's untitled URBAN EXPLORERS Feature Film Pitch.
SANTA MONICA, Calif., July 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Film finance and production company, End Cue, came out on top in a competitive bidding war with several studios, acquiring Jon Watts and Christopher Ford's untitled URBAN EXPLORERS feature pitch, a young adult adventure set under New York City's Lower East Side. End Cue prides themselves on finding up and coming talent - the pitch was sold one month before Watts was tapped by Marvel and Sony to direct the new Spider-Man franchise.
This marks the second project between End Cue, Watts and Ford after a successful collaboration on COP CAR, starring Kevin Bacon, which premiered at Sundance 2015. COP CAR was acquired by Focus World and opens in theaters on August 7th.
In addition to COP CAR, End Cue's slate includes MOONFALL, a sci-fi script written by David Weil and produced by Andrew Kortschak and Ram Bergman (STAR WARS, LOOPER). Led by Andrew and Walter Kortschak, End Cue was formerly known as Audax Films.
