Emotive, physical and abstract... that's Omni; YOUR GALLERY Jon Prothero (Omni).

JON Prothero aka 'Omni' is a painter from Risca. He says that people started calling him Omni after his art theory and practice called Omni Dimensionalism which is an emotive, physical form of abstract expressionism taking in influences as diverse as JMW Turner to the great British abstract artist, John Hoyland.

His painting style demands the use of enormous amounts of acrylic paint as he demonstrates on YouTube: Before becoming an international artist he studied a ground breaking mix of theory and practice called 'Visual Studies' at the university college Newport. His work is collected in many parts of the world including the UK, Italy, Switzerland, America and Australia.
