Emotional and rewarding time at nursery.

THORNTON Lodge tots celebrated their graduation at only four-years-old.

Thirty seven sprightly pupils from Thornton Lodge nursery School were given top honours in the first ceremonies of their kind at the school ahead of them going to infants' school in September.

Parents came to watch the events, where teacher Lindsey Robinson wore a cap and gown and awarded the children, who wore caps, with scrolls.

Sixteen children were presented with them during the morning session, while twenty one children received them in the afternoon.

Lindsey Robinson, said: "It was a pleasure to see how many parents joined us. The parents' smiles on their faces shows just how proud they are of their children.

"The children have been amazing this year and they shall be missed very much. It was an emotional but rewarding job for me in awarding each child their scroll."
