Emmerdale star Tony on city stage.

STAGES have been set up in a Birmingham city centre square for a summer line-up including Fuzzbox, Emmerdale star Tony Audenshaw.

The actor, best known for his role as Woolpack barman Bob Hope, will perform his World Cup single Viva Englandia, from 12pm today, to promote Live at The Square.

And singers, bands, DJs and dancers will take to one of four stages at The Square Shopping Centre, behind Oasis Market, from June 5. Norma Lewis will host a Singersnight every other Saturday to give signed and unsigned solo artists a place to perform.

Alternate weeks will see the Gotham Records Saturday Showcase.
