Emma is Artist of the Month.

THE Coventry Music Community Museum kicks off its next series of lottery funded interviews with their brand new Artist of the Month Emma McGann on September 20 at 12noon.

Emma has long been involved in Coventry music, be it promoting it, or performing herself. There is lots to talk about, she has been awarded Studyvox FM Musician of the Year 2010 by Kylie Minogue, taken part in a Masterclass at Abbey Road and Maida Vale Studios through the BBC and also successfully passed an audition with British songwriting house Xenomania, whose back catalogue include Girls Aloud and Cher.

Not to mention graduating with a first degree in Music Composition. So this Sounding Off promises to be a particularly interesting one, with a few well placed songs punctuating the afternoon.

On September 27 (also at 12noon), the museum welcomes King of The Telecaster, DT's and Dr Feelgood guitarist Steve Walwyn. Space is already filling up, and with such an amazing career, you can bet this is going to be an exciting event.

ONE of the country's finest ska |bands, Orange Street, take the stage at Coventry's Coundon Club on Saturday September 20. Tickets are PS8.50 in advance and PS10 on the door. Also on Saturday, Knights at The 2-Tone Village is hosting the rather good ska hip hop band Electrik Custard plus Tallawah Sound, from 4pm to 9pm. Entry is PS5.
