Two famous Emirati singers graced the Global Village's World Stage recently, giving fans affordable opportunities to see their favourite stars in action.

Mohammed Al Mazrooei unveiled the first live concert of the Union Festival on Monday, getting the predominantly young crowd swaying to his non-stop rendition of popular Emirati songs until about 11pm.

Al Mazrooei's concert was followed by the show of fellow Emirati singer Abdul Menam Al Aamri. The organisers said that the series of live concerts by popular Emirati artists are free to the public and entry tickets to the park remain Dh10. Entrants can also get a coupon to enter the draw to win a Chevrolet Camaro sportscar.

The Union Festival will also have other live concerts, including the Police Band Show, the Ukrainian Fire Show and live cultural performances and other special performances to be held at the 35 various pavilions at the Global Village.
