AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2006 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Emirates, a Dubai-based airline, has said that it is considering converting an order for Airbus A340-600s into an order for A380s.

Emirates is the launch customer for the A340-600 High Gross Weight (HGW), but the airline has given an indication that it may defer planned deliveries pending a possible upgrade.
