Emirates Welcomes Creation of UN Office for Counter-Terrorism.

New York, Dhu-AlQa'dah 6, 1438, Jul 29, 2017, SPA -- United Arab Emirates (UAE) renewed commitment to international measures to eliminate international terrorism. The statement was delivered by Ahmed Al Mahmoud, Charge d'Affaires at the Permanent Mission of the UAE to the UN. UAE emphasized work with regional and international partners to combat Daesh and other terrorist organizations through its active participation in the Global Coalition Against IS, stressing the importance of meaningful participation of youth and the centrality of providing them with real opportunities to protect them from falling prey to extremist groups. -- SPA 16:53 LOCAL TIME 13:53 GMT
