Global Banking News - 08 May 2017

Emirates NBD has said that it has become the first bank in the UAE to use credit scores to rate customers.

The bank said that it is using the Al Etihad Credit Bureau (AECB) Consumer Retail Banking Score to process loans or card applications.

The AECB Consumer Retail Credit Bureau Score is the first scoring system for UAE's retail banking customers. It uses historical data for risk prediction. The score is a three-digit number, where lower numbers indicate higher risk.
