Eminem's ``radio edit'' too strong - regulators.

CONTROVERSIAL rap star Eminem has earned a rap for radio bosses after a foul-mouthed version of one of his hits was aired mid-afternoon.

Greater London station 95.8 Capital FM broadcast a ``radio edit'' version of a track by the rapper - without realising it contained strong language. Industry regula-tors, the Radio Authority said Capital should have run ``more rigorous checks'' to ensure it was suitable.

A listener complained after hearing a four-letter word at 3.20pm.

The RA ruled: ``The track as we heard it was unacceptable for mid-afternoon.''

Capital apologised and said it would monitor Eminem's lyrics.
